Kenyan imports of pigments decreased by 24.1% in 2018, compared to 2017. The total amount of pigment imported to the country was close to 508,510 kilograms. Since 1997, the demand for pigments in Kenya has grown 37.3% year-on-year. Exports of pigments from Kenya also decreased in 2018, by 2.4%, to 346,580 kilograms. Since 1997, the supply of pigments from the country has increased 69.6% annually. Kenya was the 38th largest importer of pigments in 2018, but was overtaken by Guatemala, which imported 346,580 kilograms. Germany, Saudi Arabia, and the United States were the top three importers in that year.
