Chinese pigment exports are projected to hit approximately 11.5 million kilograms by 2028, up from around 10.2 million kilograms in 2023. This marks an annual compound growth rate (CAGR) of 1.9%. Since 1997, China's pigment supply has grown at an annual rate of 3.1%. In 2023, China secured the fourth spot in global pigment exports, with Saudi Arabia taking the lead by exporting around 10.2 million kilograms. Germany and Saudi Arabia occupied the second and third positions, respectively. On the import side, Chinese pigment imports are expected to decline slightly, reaching approximately 10.9 million kilograms by 2028 from about 11.3 million kilograms in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 0.6%. Since 1997, China's demand for imported pigments has experienced a modest annual increase of 0.3%.
