Uganda's pigment export is projected to decline to 1,940 kilograms by 2028, down from 2,030 kilograms in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 0.7%. Since 2010, Uganda's pigment supply has been decreasing at an average rate of 2.3% per year. In 2023, Uganda ranked 61st in global pigment exports, with Armenia slightly ahead, also exporting 2,030 kilograms. The leading exporters in this category include Germany, Saudi Arabia, and China, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions respectively. In contrast, Uganda's pigment import is expected to rise to approximately 798,000 kilograms by 2028, up from around 707,000 kilograms in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 2%. Since 1999, the country's demand for pigment imports has been increasing steadily at an average rate of 4.6% per year.
