Chilean pigment exports are projected to reach approximately 128,000 kilograms by 2028, up from around 105,000 kilograms in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 3.1%. Despite this growth, Chile's pigment supply has seen a slight overall decline of 0.1% per year since 1996. In 2023, Chile was ranked 43rd in the world for pigment exports, with Bulgaria narrowly ahead, exporting the same amount. Leading the rankings were Germany, Saudi Arabia, and China, holding the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. In contrast, Chilean pigment imports are expected to decline to roughly 363,000 kilograms by 2028, down from about 393,000 kilograms in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 1.2%. Since 1996, Chile's demand for imported pigments has dropped by 3.4% per year.
