The decline in demand for pigments in Guyana has been ongoing, with a year-on-year decrease of 21.2% since 1997. Conversely, Guyana's pigment exports saw a dramatic increase in 2017. The country exported nearly 145 kilograms of pigments, up from just 38 kilograms in 2016. This marks a staggering 281.3% rise compared to the previous year. Since 2002, Guyana's pigment supply has been on an upward trend, growing by 59.6% annually.
