Ecuador's pigment import is projected to reach approximately 894,000 kilograms by 2028, up from around 781,000 kilograms in 2023. This reflects an average annual growth rate of 2.2%. Notably, since 1996, the country's demand for pigments has consistently increased by 3% each year. On the export front, Ecuador's pigment shipments saw a dramatic decline. In 2018, the country exported just 269 kilograms, a steep drop from the 3,140 kilograms exported in 2017—a decrease of over 91%. Over the longer term, starting from 1997, Ecuador's pigment supply has contracted by an average of 8.9% annually.
