Barbadian pigment imports are projected to decline significantly, reaching approximately 63,700 kilograms by 2028. This marks a steep drop from the 145,400 kilograms imported in 2023, with an average annual decrease of 13%. The trend is part of a longer-term decline, as the country's demand for pigments has been falling by an average of 5.1% annually since 2002. In contrast, Barbadian pigment exports have shown a notable increase. In 2017, exports were close to 32,400 kilograms, up from about 29,300 kilograms in 2016. This represents an increase of 10.7% year-over-year. Since 2002, the supply of pigments from Barbados has risen by an impressive 62.3% annually.
