The downward trend in pigment demand has been consistent since 2005, with an average annual decrease of 27.7%. On the export side, Namibia's pigment shipments plummeted to just 7 kilograms in 2017, a dramatic 95.4% decrease from the 151 kilograms exported in 2016. Over the long term, the nation's pigment supply has also been on a steady decline, falling by an average of 74% per year since 2005.
