On the export front, Australia is expected to ship nearly 80,000 kilograms of pigments in 2023, down from about 105,000 kilograms in 2022. This represents a significant year-on-year drop of 23.4%. Over the past three decades, Australian pigment supply has plummeted by an average of 16.9% annually. In 2023, Australia ranked 46th in the world for pigment exports, with Indonesia surpassing it by exporting the same amount. Leading the global rankings were Germany, Saudi Arabia, and China, which held the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
