Since 1997, the nation's demand for pigments has seen a modest increase of 0.8% per year. On the export front, Hungary's pigment shipments plummeted by 63.4% in 2018, dropping to roughly 25,000 kilograms from nearly 70,000 kilograms in 2017. Over the past two decades, Hungarian pigment exports have experienced a significant decline, decreasing by an average of 38.6% annually since 1997.
