Slovakia's pigment exports saw a significant decline in 2023, totaling approximately 4,600 kilograms. This marks a 31.9% decrease from the 6,750 kilograms exported in 2022. The country's pigment supply has been on a downward trend since 1999, decreasing by an average of 18.6% annually. In 2023, Slovakia ranked 59th in global pigment exports, with Palestine just ahead, also exporting around 4,600 kilograms. Leading the global rankings in pigment exports were Germany, Saudi Arabia, and China, holding the second, third, and fourth positions respectively. On the import side, Slovakia's pigment intake plummeted to around 6,200 kilograms in 2023, a dramatic 91.4% drop from the 72,280 kilograms imported in the previous year. The country's demand for pigments has been steadily declining since 1999, with an average annual decrease of 54.3%.
