Consumption of milk is projected to decrease to €739 million by 2026, down 0.9% year-on-year from €782 million in 2020. Demand for milk over the same period dropped by 1.4%. The UK, Italy and France ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Swedish milk production is expected to reach 2.5 million metric tons by 2026, a 0.8% year-on-year decrease from 2021’s 2.7 million metric tons. Since 1966, Swedish milk output has dropped 1.4% year-on-year. The country ranked 43rd in 2021, with Myanmar ahead at 2.7 million metric tons. The US Virgin Islands, Pakistan and Brazil ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
