The United Kingdom, Italy and France were the top three milk-consuming countries in 2020. Bulgarian milk production is expected to shrink to 737,560 metric tons by 2026, declining at a 3.3% year-on-year CAGR. This is a significant decrease since 1966, when production fell by 4.9% year-on-year. Bulgaria was the 78th largest producer in 2021, while Slovakia was the largest, producing 895,500 metric tons. The United States Virgin Islands, Pakistan and Brazil ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
