Moldavian milk production is projected to drop by 4.8% year on year by 2026. The country was the 104th largest producer in 2021, producing 260,690 metric tons, a 7.2% decrease since 1997. Mauritania overtook Moldavia to become the largest producer, producing 346,590 metric tons. The United States Virgin Islands, Pakistan and Brazil respectively came in at second, third and fourth place.
