Sri Lanka's milk production is set to reach 578,000 metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 2.3% annually since 1966. In 2021, Sri Lanka was ranked 92nd in milk production, with 504,000 metric tons. Nigeria overtook it to take the lead in the same year. The United States Virgin Islands, Pakistan and Brazil respectively came in second, third and fourth.
