Costa Rica is on track to reach 67% HIV/AIDS treatment coverage among people living with HIV by 2026. This is an increase of 1.6 percentage points per year, on average, since 2005. In 2021, the country ranked 88th with 58% coverage, while Paraguay came in first with 58%. Cape Verde, Latvia and Zimbabwe followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
