HIV/AIDS treatment coverage in Zimbabwe is close to 97%, according to 2021 figures. This is an increase of 4.3 points compared to 2020, when coverage was at 93%. Since 2009, coverage has increased by 6.1 points on average each year. Zimbabwe is currently ranked third, just behind Latvia, which has 97% coverage. Cape Verde, Latvia and Zimbabwe are the top three countries in this ranking. The number of HIV/AIDS cases among people aged 0-14 in Zimbabwe is set to reach 58,140 by 2026. This is a decrease of 4.6% compared to 2021, when the figure was 75,890. Since 1995, the number has dropped by 5.4% each year on average. Zimbabwe is currently ranked ninth, just behind Kenya, which has 75,890 cases. Nigeria, Mozambique and Tanzania are the top three countries in this ranking.
