In 2021, Namibia was ranked 31st in prevalence, with Lesotho taking the top spot with 8,220. Nigeria, Mozambique and Tanzania were the next three in line. The treatment coverage for those living with HIV in Namibia rose to 92% in 2021 from 88% in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%. Since 2009, treatment coverage has risen by 6.9% per year. Namibia ranked 9th in 2021, with Uganda leading the way at 92%. Cape Verde, Latvia and Zimbabwe followed.
