In Lesotho, the prevalence of HIV/AIDS among those aged 0-14 is set to decrease to 5,700 by 2026 from 8,370 in 2021, a 6.8% year-on-year drop. Since 1995, prevalence has fallen by 8.4% annually on average. Lesotho ranked 30th in 2021, with Swaziland at the top with 8,370 cases. Nigeria, Mozambique and Tanzania followed at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. Treatment coverage for those living with HIV in Lesotho rose 3.7 points to 85%, compared to 82% in 2020. This is an increase of 6.5 points on the 2009 figure. Lesotho ranked 24th in 2021, with Tanzania leading the way at 85%. Cape Verde, Latvia and Zimbabwe followed at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
