In terms of prevalence of the virus among people aged 0-14, Papua New Guinea is on track to reach 3,690 cases by 2026, up from 3,370 in 2021. This is a 1.4% increase year-on-year, or 1.1% since 1995. In 2021, Papua New Guinea ranked 42nd, with Equatorial Guinea taking the lead at 3,370 cases. Nigeria, Mozambique and Tanzania were second, third and fourth respectively.
