The production of Spanish goat meat is expected to reach 133,700 metric tons by 2026, up 0.3% from 131,000 metric tons in 2021. Spain's supply of goat meat has been stable since 2017, when the country ranked 22nd in the world. Turkmenistan led the way in 2021, producing 131,000 metric tons. Australia, India and Pakistan were the second, third and fourth largest producers, respectively. Meanwhile, Spanish goat meat consumption is projected to drop 0.9% year-on-year, to 89,000 metric tons in 2026 from 94,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, Spain's demand for goat meat has fallen by 1% annually. In 2021, the country was in 26th place, with Mexico consuming 94,000 metric tons. India, Pakistan and Iran came in second, third and fourth in the rankings.
