In 2021, Ethiopia was in 99th place, behind Montenegro in 98th with $605 million. Germany, the United States and Japan were the top three in the ranking. Meanwhile, Ethiopian transformer imports are expected to rise 2.8% to around $303 million by 2026. This is up from $257 million in 2021, and a 9.5% increase since 2000. In 2021, Ethiopia was in 43rd place, behind Portugal in 42nd with $257 million. China, Germany and Mexico were the top three in the ranking.
