Canada's transformer exports are expected to reach $1 billion by 2026, according to a new report. In 2021, the country exported $993 million worth of transformers, a 0.4% year-on-year growth since 1994. Finland was ahead of Canada in the ranking, reaching $993 million in 2021. Germany, the United States and Japan ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Canada's transformer imports are projected to reach $2.2 billion by 2026, the report said. In 2021, the country imported $2.05 billion worth of transformers, a 1.1% year-on-year growth since 1994. The United Kingdom surpassed Canada in the ranking, reaching $2.05 billion in 2021. China, Germany and Mexico were ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
