Exports of transformers from El Salvador, worth $207 million in 2021, fell 36.7% compared to 2020’s figure of $327 million. This was the fourth consecutive year of decline, with the supply total down 45.5% since 1999. Guyana was the top country in 2021, while El Salvador came in at number 114. Germany, the United States and Japan were the next three countries in the ranking. Imports of transformers to El Salvador are expected to reach $37 million by 2026, from $34 million in 2021, a yearly growth rate of 1.4%. Since 1999, demand for these products has risen 4.3%. El Salvador was ranked number 93 in 2021, with higher figures reported by Uganda. China, Germany and Mexico were the next three countries in the ranking.
