Slovak transformer exports are forecast to reach almost $860 million by 2026, up 2.1% year on year. This is a significant increase since 1999, when exports had grown 6.8% year on year. In 2021, Slovakia ranked 26th globally, with Malaysia ahead at $757 million. Germany, the US and Japan came in second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, Slovak transformer imports are expected to reach $680 million by 2026, up 2% year on year. This is a notable rise since 1999, when imports had grown 6.1% year on year. Last year, Slovakia was 31st in the global ranking, with the Philippines ahead at $606 million. China, Germany and Mexico came in second, third and fourth respectively.
