Meat production in Western Sahara is on the rise, according to recent figures. In 2021, the country reported a total of around 2,600 metric tons - a 0.6% growth year-on-year since 1966. This placed Western Sahara in 173rd place, behind Saint Lucia, which produced 2,600 metric tons. The United States Virgin Islands, Brazil and Russia came in second, third and fourth place respectively. Looking ahead, Western Sahara is expected to produce 2,700 metric tons of meat by 2026, a 0.6% year-on-year growth.
