This represents a steady annual growth rate of 1.5%, according to recent market data. Since 2013, the Romanian meat market has consistently grown at an annual rate of 1.5%. Despite this growth, Romania ranked 15th in meat sales in 2023, with Hungary surpassing it at the same €3.5 billion mark. Leading the European meat market are France, Spain, and Italy, holding the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
