The United States, Brazil, and Russia rounded out the top four. Meanwhile, Indian meat production is projected to reach 9.3 million metric tons in 2026, up 1.6% from 8.5 million metric tons in 2021. Since 1966, India's meat production has grown at a rate of 3% per year. In 2021, Russia was the top producer of meat, with 8.5 million metric tons. The United States Virgin Islands, Brazil, and Russia followed in the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
