Ethiopia's aluminium imports are set to reach $384 million by 2026. This is an increase of 3.3% on average every year since 2021, when it was worth $314 million. Since 2000, demand for aluminium in Ethiopia has grown at 9.6% annually. In 2021, Ethiopia was the 58th biggest importer of aluminium, with Belarus preceding it at $314 million. Germany, Japan and France occupied the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots in the ranking respectively. Ethiopia's aluminium exports also saw a boost from $18.6 million in 2015 to $63.2 million in 2016.
