Argentina's aluminium exports fell 1.1% in 2021 to $156 million, down from $158 million in 2020. This marks a 24.1% decrease since 1998. Morocco surpassed Argentina, with exports of $156 million, to take 59th place in the ranking. Germany, the US and Canada came in second, third and fourth, respectively. By 2026, Argentina's aluminium imports are expected to reach $480 million, up from $421 million in 2021, representing an average year-on-year growth rate of 2.2%. Since 1998, the country has seen an overall increase of 9.4%. In 2021, Chile was ahead of Argentina with imports of $421 million, while Germany, Japan and France took second, third and fourth place, respectively.
