Zimbabwe's aluminium exports plummeted by 16.9% to around $417,000 in 2021, compared to $502,000 in 2020. Since 2000, the country has seen a 25.3% year-on-year fall in its supplies. Zimbabwe now ranks 122nd in the world, its place taken by Andorra with $417,000 worth of exports. Germany, the US and Canada respectively occupy the top three spots in this ranking. Import of aluminium into Zimbabwe is expected to reach $32.8 million by 2026, up from $27.9 million in 2021. Since 2006, the country has recorded a 9.7% year-on-year increase in demand. Zimbabwe was 108th in the world in 2021, overtaken by Uganda on $27.9 million. Germany, Japan and France follow in positions two, three and four respectively.
