In 2021, Switzerland stood in 19th place, behind Belgium which imported $3.26 billion. Germany, Japan and France were numbers 2, 3 and 4 in the ranking respectively. Swiss aluminium exports are predicted to reach $2.55 billion by 2026, up 1.2% year-on-year from 2021 ($2.38 billion). Since 1993, Swiss supply has grown at an average rate of 3.2% per year. In 2021, Saudi Arabia surpassed Switzerland, which ranked in 21st place with $2.38 billion. Germany, the US and Canada respectively were numbers 2, 3 and 4 in the ranking.
