Samoan aluminium exports are forecast to grow over the next five years. By 2026, they are expected to reach $59,090, a 3.3% increase on the 2021 figure of $48,640. This is an average year-on-year growth of 15.1% since 2006. In 2021, Samoa was placed 132nd in the ranking of countries exporting aluminium, overtaken by the Solomon Islands. Germany, the United States and Canada were second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, imports of aluminium into Samoa are expected to increase to $3,387,300 by 2026, an average year-on-year growth rate of 1%. This is a decrease of 3.2% since 2006. In 2021, Samoa was 140th in the ranking of countries importing aluminium, overtaken by the Central African Republic. Germany, Japan and France were second, third and fourth respectively.
