Ireland is set to see its aluminium exports reach nearly $275 million by 2026. This marks a 2.4% average annual growth since 2021, when exports were worth $239 million. Since 1997, Irish aluminium supply has grown by 12.9% year-on-year. In 2021, Ireland was ranked 55th in the world for aluminium exports, behind Israel at $239 million. Germany, the United States and Canada were the top three countries in the ranking. Imports of aluminium into Ireland are expected to reach $411 million by 2026, up from $405 million in 2021. This represents a 0.3% average annual growth rate since 2021, while demand has risen by 4.6% since 1997. In 2021, Ireland ranked 55th for aluminium imports, behind Bahrain at $405 million. Germany, Japan and France were the top three countries in the ranking. In 2017, Irish aluminium sales totalled €538.6 million, up from €360.9 million the year before.
