Russia is set to become the world’s seventh-largest exporter of aluminium by 2026, according to a forecast from market research firm Trefis. Exports are predicted to reach $6.3 billion by the end of 2026, down slightly from 2021’s $6.3 billion. Exports have grown by an average of 1.7% year-on-year since 2001. The United Arab Emirates is currently the top exporter, followed by Germany, the United States and Canada. Imports are set to reach $1.4 billion by 2026, a 1% year-on-year growth since 2021. Imports have increased by an average of 5.1% year-on-year since 2001. Saudi Arabia is currently the top importer, followed by Germany, Japan and France.
