Sri Lanka's aluminium exports are expected to reach around $30 million by 2026, up from $24 million in 2021. This marks an average increase of 3.5% year-on-year since 1999. In 2021, Sri Lanka ranked 84th, one place below Pakistan which exported $24 million. Germany, the United States and Canada took the top three spots in the ranking. Meanwhile, aluminium imports to Sri Lanka are projected to reach $142 million by 2026, up from $124 million in 2021. This marks an average annual growth of 2.2% since 1999. In 2021, Sri Lanka was 79th in the rankings, below Ecuador which imported $124 million. Germany, Japan and France occupied the top three spots.
