Mauritius is set to see a slight rise in poultry meat consumption over the next five years, reaching 50.4 thousand metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country ranked 107th in the world for poultry meat consumption, with a steady demand since 2017. Slovenia came in ahead of Mauritius with 50 thousand metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Russia were the top three countries in the ranking. Production of poultry meat in Mauritius will also see a slight increase to 49.57 thousand metric tons by 2026, up from 49 thousand metric tons in 2021. Supply of poultry meat has remained stable since 2017, placing the country 98th in the 2021 ranking. Burkina Faso was ahead of Mauritius with 49 thousand metric tons, while China, Brazil and Russia took the top three spots respectively.
