Consumption of poultry meat in Germany is projected to reach 1.5 million metric tons in 2026, up from 1.5 million metric tons in 2021. On average, demand has grown by 0.3% annually since 2017. In 2021, Germany was the 18th biggest poultry meat consumer in the world, while France was one spot ahead with 1.5 million metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Russia ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, German production of poultry meat is forecast to reach 1.6 million metric tons in 2026, the same amount as in 2021. On average, supply has decreased by 0.3% annually since 2017. In 2021, Germany was the 20th largest producer, with Peru ahead of them at 1.6 million metric tons. China, Brazil and Russia took the top three spots in the ranking.
