Peruvian poultry meat consumption is on the rise. By 2026, it is expected to reach 470,000 metric tons, up 1% from 441,000 metric tons in 2021. This represents an average growth rate of 0.5% year-on-year since 2017. Bolivia overtook Peru in 2021, coming in 35th in the global ranking with 441,000 metric tons. The United States, Brazil, and Russia occupied the top three spots. Peruvian poultry meat production is also increasing, with 1,700,000 metric tons expected by 2026 – a 1% rise from 1,610,000 metric tons in 2021. This is a 0.5% year-on-year increase since 2017. Spain overtook Peru in 2021, coming in 19th in the global ranking with 1,610,000 metric tons. China, Brazil, and Russia held the top three places.
