Consumption of poultry meat is predicted to reach 160,000 metric tons by 2026, an increase of 2.5% annually since 2017. In 2021, the country came in at number 70, with Costa Rica overtaking at 138,000 metric tons. The United States, Brazil, and Russia ranked numbers two, three, and four respectively. Production of poultry meat was steady in 2018 at 7,000 metric tons, unchanged from the previous year.
