Poultry meat consumption in Nigeria is projected to decline slightly over the next five years. According to estimates, the country's consumption of poultry meat is expected to drop to 188 thousand metric tons by 2026, down 1.2% from 201 thousand metric tons in 2021. This decline follows a 1.6% decrease since 2017. Meanwhile, Nigerian poultry meat production is forecast to increase slightly over the same period of time. By 2026, it is expected to reach 197 thousand metric tons, up 0.1% from 196 thousand metric tons in 2021. This follows a 0.5% increase since 2017.
