Macedonia is projected to see consumption of poultry meat reach 43,000 metric tons by 2026, up from 42,000 metric tons in 2021, an average yearly increase of 0.5%. The demand for poultry has grown by 0.8% each year since 2017, making Macedonia the 115th largest consumer in 2021. Laos overtook the country in consumption with 42,000 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Russia followed, respectively, in second, third and fourth place. Meanwhile, production of Macedonian poultry meat is predicted to drop to 590 metric tons by 2026, down from 1,000 metric tons in 2021, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.3%. Since 2017, supply has remained unchanged, making Macedonia 136th largest producer in 2021. Montenegro overtook the country in production with 1,000 metric tons. China, Brazil and Russia followed, respectively, in second, third and fourth place.
