Since 2017, Iranian demand has grown at an average rate of 0.7% year-on-year. In 2021, Iran was the eighth largest consumer of poultry meat, while Japan claimed the top spot with 2.3 million metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Russia ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Meanwhile, Iranian poultry meat production is anticipated to reach 2.3 million metric tons by 2026, up from 2.2 million metric tons in 2021. This would represent a year-on-year growth rate of 0.4%. Since 2017, Iranian supply has grown at an average rate of 0.3% year-on-year. In 2021, Iran was the tenth largest poultry meat producer, with Japan leading the way at 2.2 million metric tons. China, Brazil and Russia occupied the second, third and fourth places, respectively.
