Poultry meat consumption in Jordan is expected to decline by 0.7% per year in the next 5 years, from 243 thousand metric tons in 2021 to 233 thousand metric tons in 2026. This follows a downward trend since 2017, when the country was overtaken by Hungary in terms of consumption. The United States, Brazil, and Russia were the top three consumers in 2021. Meanwhile, Jordanian poultry meat production is projected to increase by a meagre 0.1% per year over the same period, from 194 thousand metric tons in 2021 to 195 thousand metric tons in 2026. This follows a period of relative stability since 2017, when the country was overtaken by Nigeria. China, Brazil, and Russia were the top three producers in 2021.
