Consumption of sunflower oil in Ethiopia is poised to increase in the coming years. In 2021, the country consumed 16 thousand metric tons of the oil - up 4.6% from 2017. It ranked 66th in the world. Turkmenistan topped the rankings with 16 thousand metric tons, while Russia, Spain and Argentina ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Demand is expected to reach 20 thousand metric tons by 2026, growing an average of 3.3% year-on-year.
