By 2026, Bangladesh's consumption of sunflower oil is projected to reach 4,000 metric tons, growing at a rate of 5.9% year-on-year. Since 2017, demand for the oil in the country has remained steady. In 2021, Bangladesh was ranked 96th in terms of sunflower oil consumption, overtaken by Azerbaijan with 3,000 metric tons. Russia, Spain and Argentina followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
