Production of sunflower oil in Tunisia is set to decrease by 0.4% in 2026, compared to 2021. This is a 9.1% decrease since 1978. Tunisia was the 63rd largest producer in 2021. Afghanistan came in ahead with 2,810 metric tons, followed by Russia (2nd place), Argentina (3rd place) and Hungary (4th place). Tunisian consumption of sunflower oil was 12 thousand metric tons in 2018, the same as the year before. This put Tunisia in 71st place, with Canada in the lead (12 thousand metric tons). Russia (2nd place), Spain (3rd place) and Argentina (4th place) followed.
