Sweden's consumption of sunflower oil is expected to stay the same at 25,000 metric tonnes in 2026 compared to 2021. The country's demand has been stable since 2017, ranking 44th in 2021, with Peru slightly ahead at 25,000 metric tonnes. Russia, Spain and Argentina respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the ranking. Meanwhile, Swedish production of sunflower oil is projected to reach 7,510 metric tonnes in 2026, up 1.4% from 2021. Since 1975, production has declined by 1.4% annually. Sweden ranked 52nd in 2021, with Indonesia slightly ahead at 6,920 metric tonnes. Russia, Argentina and Hungary respectively were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the ranking.
