Dutch sunflower oil production is set to reach over 314,000 metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 1.5% year on year, on average, since 1966. The Netherlands was the 12th largest producer in 2021, with Tanzania leading the way with 287,870 metric tons. Russia, Argentina and Hungary were the 2nd, 3rd and 4th largest producers respectively. In 2018, Dutch sunflower oil consumption was 5,000 metric tons, compared to the 5,000 metric tons in 2017. The Netherlands was the 88th largest consumer in 2018, with Bolivia ahead at 5,000 metric tons. Russia, Spain and Argentina were the 2nd, 3rd and 4th largest consumers respectively.
