Azerbaijani sunflower oil production is set to reach nearly 46,000 metric tons by 2026, a 3.1% increase from the 38,300 metric tons produced in 2021. Since 2004, production has grown by 1.3% year-on-year. In 2021, Azerbaijan came in 32nd place in the global ranking, with Croatia in 31st. Russia, Argentina and Hungary were the top three producers. Azerbaijan's sunflower oil consumption was close to 3,000 metric tons in 2018, up from 2017. In 2018, the country was ranked 96th, while French Polynesia was in the lead with 3,000 metric tons. Russia, Spain, and Argentina were the top three consumers.
